The specialist massage chair firm, based in Alicante, is expanding its premises. The company is also incorporating new machinery and strengthening its presence in the US.
Keyton, a company based in Alicante that specialises in manufacturing and marketing top of the range massage chairs, has invested over €600,000 in the expansion of its premises in the Polígono de las Atalayas as well as making technological improvements to part of its production process. The new section covers an area of 1700 square metres and will be used for storage and the incorporation of new machinery to improve the woodcarving process (for the arms of the chairs), thereby enabling this well-known manufacturer of relaxation furniture to expand its business expectations abroad. The company's managing director, Pedro Alvado, confirmed that the company has managed to strengthen its presence this year in the tough US market. “We entered the US market through two major American distributors, Bloomingdale's and Relax the Bax". In addition to its increased market share in the US, Keyton already has a firm presence in Europe – accounting for 45% of foreign turnover – through Italy, France and Switzerland, as well in Spain. Its exclusive customised designs – manufactured entirely in Alicante and available in 15 colour ranges and types of leather – are sold in Europe's most exclusive retail chains with a highly select clientele. However, Keyton massage chairs are for anyone looking for the ultimate sensation of comfort and relaxation when buying a good quality chair. Keyton is now launching its ‘Cosmo’ model, an exclusive design created by Italian firm Giugiaro Design, and is currently taking part in the world's most important furniture trade fairs and exhibitions. The company has also begun to diversify its products through a collaboration agreement reached with Germaine de Capuccini, one of the leading beauty companies in the world, based in Alcoy. Keyton will be incorporating independent massage systems into the beds used by this firm. In addition to commercial launches, one of the company's main priorities for the coming year is to "perfect the massage system used in our chairs", according to Keyton's managing director, Pedro Alvado. Keyton has 18 years of experience in the market and employs around 100 people.
